St. Lucia, also known as the Helen of West Indies was fought over 14 times by
the French and British colonial powers during the seventeen century "Battle of the Saints". The island is 238 square miles, volcanic and picturesque. A haven of mountains and intriguing coves sets the scene of the historical battles that were the order of the day during colonial times. |
